Post SDCC Wrap-up
Hey Everyone
It’s Wednesday and I’m still recovering from SDCC. Good news is I didn’t catch anything, I’m just tired. The show itself was great and the response to Monster Matador was once again very good. Caught up with old friends, made some new ones, and looking forward to some potential developments across the board.
One thing I never do is take enough pictures, though I did take some which you can see below. Part of it is being behind the table from around 9-7 every day. It’s a marathon to be sure. I pretty much survive on a few hours sleep a night, which is getting harder the older I get. Oh the things I do for comics.
Speaking of, it’s the obligatory “The latest Monster Matador kickstarter is now live. Please back it!” part of the newsletter. We’re just 1 backer from 100 and almost halfway through the campaign. It’s already funded, but we are on to stretch goals which are really important as that’s what provides funding to continue the book. And if you’re unable to pledge, that’s okay, sharing the link is just as useful - bit.ly/MMBOTM
Isn’t that variant cover by Orlando “Mexifunk” Arocena amazing!
We're currently working on the first stretch goal which will be the Indie Digital Bundle that will offer a wide selection of comics. I'm still collecting books for it but it should be about 10 or so. That one unlocks at $3,700. The stretch goal after that will be for a sticker which will crack at $4,500.
We appreciate any support you can give. Even pledging just a dollar gets us moving up in the algorithms.
I hope to get back to normal in the next day or so an check out the new Fantastic Four movie. My kids were lucky to get tickets to a special screening at SDCC and absolutely loved it. My 7 year old daughter is all in on Sue Storm and already want to be her for Halloween. I told her she should stay home that day and when the school calls and asks where she is we’ll say she’s in costume as the Invisible Woman… she didn’t find that funny. Dad humor never is, it seems.
Here are some pics from SDCC:

Have a great week!
